Only in Arizona

The other night Kory and I were out on a date. As we were driving down the main drag we kept passing by people who were out enjoying the weather.

It was about 8:00 p.m. and 99 degrees.

Apparently when the temps drop below a hundred people come out at night and celebrate how 'cool' it is by hanging out in there front yards, taking a walk, or sitting in there truck beds.

I guess I am not truly a native because I don't believe in 'hanging' outside when it's above 90 degrees. Oh, and just to clarify, nobody has a cute little porch like this in our town-or grass for that matter. Oh how I would love to live in a city with tons of houses that had cute little porches.

I love that picture. It reminds me of the little neighborhood that David from "Alvin and the Chipmunks" lived in. I love the cottage-y look of it!

And yeah, hanging out in 99 degree heat is never cool.

Oh... brings back memories! This looks a lot like Virginia! Everyone sits out on their front porches in the evening enjoying the weaher... of course it's more like 65-75 :-) and we watch the kids chase fireflys, and visit with the neighbors who are also outside.

We don't have a covered front porch here, but we like to sit on our steps in the back and do the same thing. Grass... we have an acre and a third of it... if anyone is intrested in coming for a lawn party, I'll host! :-)
